Whose Line Is It Anyway?

I asked a bunch of people "If you had to be a London Underground train driver, which line would you choose to drive on?"

In my view, the sensible people said the Metropolitan line. As Helen put it "The Met without doubt. It goes outside more than the other lines, is less prone to tourists and piss heads, and you can drive for longer stretches without stopping cos the stations are far apart." Precisely. As McGuinness says "Metropolitan, obviously."

Johan and Kev did note that the Waterloo and City line only runs on weekdays so you'd get weekends off. Is that a good enough reason to limit yourself to just two stations and shuttling back and forth?

Some people, namely Mark and Polly, said that they would choose the Northern Line because it is the line they live on.

A few people said the Jubilee Line for varying reasons including that it is newer and that "The trains sound like space ships" from James Schmidt. Some mentioned that the Jubilee goes above ground and gave that as a reason. But it doesn't really compare to the Metropolitan for its outside stretches.

Michael showed exquisite knowledge of the tube when asked which line he'd like to drive on and replied "The blue one".

Susanne simply said that she wouldn't work on any line! Are we missing anything? Comment below - which is the best tube line to drive on?
